REPS

If you want to strengthen your core muscles, you do reps – REPETITIONS – of crunches. As time goes by, you’ll be able to do more and more reps.

If you’re stressed out, or limping along due to an awful past event, you do mental REPS. You sit quietly and set your cell phone for 1 min. Close your eyes, focus on your breathing and CLEAR your mind. You should be able to clear your mind for 1 second. Clear your mind AGAIN and FOCUS it back on BREATHING.

THAT’S ONE REP.

You may have to do 60 reps in 60 seconds. Pulling your mind back to ‘CLEAR’ is the EXERCISE of meditation. If you EXERCISE every day, or at least a FEW TIMES a week, OVER TIME you’ll need FEWER REPS to CLEAR your mind during that ONE minute of MIND EXERCISE

PRACTICE

How much time? Think about how long of crunching every day for your waist to get where you want it to be. Yes, that much time. But as with core strength training, you’ll FEEL better with the PROGRESS you’re making. You’ll be able to set the timer for longer than 1 minute, ADDING 30 seconds every month. Eventually, with a few reps, you’ll be able to stop playing that awful film running over and over in your head of something bad that happened. You’ll be able to focus on what you’re doing in the moment, which will help you look forward and plan into the future.Or you’ll be able to just control day-dreaming, so you can stay focused , organized and get done what needs DOING.

LUCK FAVORS THE PREPARED!
